Anguilla Sailing Lessons
Discover the freedom of sailing in Anguilla, experience the island’s seafaring heritage, and learn about the history of our National Sport, Boat Racing. No previous sailing experience is necessary for a beginner lesson.
Feel the breeze fill the sails of the RS Touras/RS Visions, learn to read the wind, and discover the satisfaction of moving across Anguilla’s turquoise waters under sail. Whether you have always dreamed of learning to sail or simply want to try something different during your stay, these lessons offer an engaging introduction to the fundamentals of sailing, help you become familiar with the boat and its sails, and begin to understand how wind, water and technique work together.
More than a Lesson: Helping the next generation of Anguillian sailors
The Anguilla Youth Sailing Club is helping preserve the island’s proud sailing and boat-racing heritage by passing knowledge and skills on to the next generation. Its programmes give young people opportunities to learn, build confidence and develop abilities that can stay with them for life. Many former students have gone on to sail on local boats, carrying Anguilla’s sailing tradition forward.
By booking a sailing lesson, you do more than enjoy a memorable experience on the water. Your participation helps support the school’s continued work and its mission to keep sailing accessible, nurture future sailors and ensure that the knowledge of the sea is passed on to generations to come. It is a meaningful way to enjoy Anguilla while contributing to the future of one of the island’s enduring traditions.
