Gloria Leveret began her bartending journey in 1974 in her sister’s restaurant, then ultimately moved on to become Bar Manager at Cuisinart. Fast forward 45 years, and she is now retired, but her legacy still lives on by way of her delightfully delectable rum creations, Glo’s Flavoured Rum.

I never expected to learn so much at a rum tasting! Miss Julie was absolutely delightful and shared a wealth of knowledge about local fruits/plants, history, culture, and cuisine as we tasted our way through 14 absolutely delicious local rums that have been expertly crafted by her immensely talented mother, Glo. The local flavors were splendid! Each so unique! Truly outstanding quality. We loved Julie’s tips for how to pair certain flavors with specific mixers and how to use some of the rums in baking. It was difficult to choose which flavors to purchase to take back to our villa to enjoy during our stay, as we had SO MANY FAVORITES (you’ll see what I mean!), but we’ll just try new flavors of Glo’s Rum on every future trip to Anguilla! How fun to look forward to that! This was such a special experience that went far beyond our expectations; the Quest team did a marvelous job blending education and fun. And what a privilege to support the local economy and its talented entrepreneurs!

Once again Quest have excelled and provided a superb experience.Miss Julie was so knowledgeable in so many things but particularly in the 17 rums we tried… from Soursop to Sea Grape. She knew which ones to pair with coke and which ones to drink straight. We learnt about the whole process and how her mother, Glo,never ceases in dreaming up new recipes.My one complaint…it was just too difficult to choose which was the best!
